I sit in my bed slightly delerious with an incoming sickness. I am nice and warm with my electric blanket (thanks dad).
So I don't yet have the clearest picture of what this blog is actually going to look like, but when I started this website I wanted to use it to be able to look back on my life and see what I was up to at each snapshot in time. So if you want to hear about my life in excruciating detail this is the place. Yes this is easier than texting people back, and certainly easier than studying for my finals. Also shoutout Jacqui for the inspo to actually write this.
Speaking of finals, I am a bit fucked lol. I have not been on top of my work for the second half of this semester and I am about to spend a week in hell trying to catch up. I am a bit worried with this incoming sickness though, but we will persevere. I have been loving my classes, it's just been so hard to concentrate. I don't make it easy with all the projects I do to distract myself.
I've spent the last month or two building the bones of a drum synthesiser on a microcontroller. When it's done I will make a whole post about it on the projects page, but the short of it is I have written some code and designed some circuits that produce drum sounds when you press a button. The drum's timbre can be changed through a series of knobs. I spent the last few days trying to get USB audio to work, but I gave up on that for now and will keep it just analogue. Maybe I'll find an embedded programmer comp sci student to do it for me lol.
I just moved house, out of the student co-op and into a house. It's pretty nice actually. I still need to unpack fully but I'll get there. Just bought a fridge, it's kinda rad.
Anyway, I think I am going to sleep now.
